Cistus creticus, also known as Pink Rockrose (Cistus incanus), holds ancient ties to Greek mythology and medicinal practices. This plant has a storied history, believed to have been a gift from the Gods on Mount Olympus to heal wounded warriors. Greek Goddesses added cosmetic and healing powers to its delicate pink flowers.
Recognizable by its crumpled bright pink-purple flowers, Pink Rockrose thrives in various European climates. With antibacterial properties and digestive remedies, it has a role in herbal traditions.
This evergreen shrub, adaptable to tough environments, often lines coastlines due to its tolerance of wind, drought, and salt spray. Pink Rockrose, scientifically known as Cistus incanus, is rich in polyphenols, potent compounds that boost the immune system and display antibiotic properties.
We proudly offer Cistus incanus tea, a cherished medicinal aromatic herb from Crete's mountains. This remarkable herbal tea is loaded with antioxidants and other benefits, a testament to its exceptional quality and the wisdom of generations.

How to consume
Drink it HOT or ICED.
Try it also with honey or sugar.
Preparation for hot: Pour hot water(temperature up to 90°) in a vessel which can be closed, add the dried herbs (1 tbsp per 200ml water) and steep for ~10 minutes. Time depends on how “strong” we want our drink, the more we leave it the stronger.
Preparation for iced: Double the dose (2 tbsp per 200ml water) and follow the same steps as above. Then pour the tea in a glass full of ice.
